Sadly you and I know TJSS is one of the most prolific writers and has one of the most extension number of works, he is also one of the highest paid authors in China and has held top sales and top author for a number of years. He also have established himself as a smart businessman and promoted his works pretty well through his newly formed company.

So his influence in the media industry is not small at all even if some of his works are really subpar.

Most anticipated one for me is "come sword". Read the novel and enjoyed the epic journey and adventure, the novel was tiresome because author likes change settings and perspective a lot. Most surprised me was "against the gods"😱😱😱😱 ni tian xie shen... Oh my! Lease the Yun che! I'm raising my eyebrows on on renegade immortal, da zhu zai (hope it's more than the anime), I'm ying tai, red moon and shi shi something (that round Mecha). And will be expecting more from MGA.

Is the fight epic? Yes.
Is it really necessary to give that sissy Douluo so much screen time? No.

Why not? Because we have tons of epic shit that are still to happen and Tencent is not increasing the number of planned episodes although they went snippety snip snip (ahem.. not in the sexual context) during the lockdown reducing the screen time by half every episode.

Everything that happened during the fight except TS’s final double strikes was made up. This whole unbreakable body is really an excuse the studio gave so that it doesn’t seem so obvious when they nerfed TS’s power (again). There’s just no way chrysanthemum petals (despite being hardened) can withstand TS’s hammer. Seriously it’s just not possible. The hammer is now being strengthened by the “evolved” DeathGod Domain and most of all, it has ErMing’s red ring on it! The King of the Forest was known for his matchless strength and he even has the gravity control which instantly multiplies the force it can exert on its enemies.

Enuff said. I don’t want to be a wet blanket all the time, all I want is to see a decent (and not rushed) finale for one of my fav Chinese donghuas/novels of all time.

They made his death more noble than what it was in the novel. He actually grovels and pleas for his life until Tang San reminded him that he is a titled Douluo and to have some self respect.

“Tang San, let me go. You should know that all we did was on the Supreme Pontiff’s orders. As long as you let me go, I’ll join your Heaven Dou Empire faction! I can help you deal with the Spirit Empire. No matter what, I’m still a Title Douluo.”

And Tang San replies

"Senior Yue Guan, back then, in that lush Star Dou Great Forest, did you let me and Xiao Wu go? Do you know how much we suffered because of that? Did you let the Blue Lighting Tyrant Dragon Clan go? Ugg, even though I'm not novel reader it's like I could see the story going downhill. Changes like this just make it even worse as these "noble" style deaths are now ultra hypocritical (given no real backstory on Martial Hall besides a border holder between 2 empires). As it's almost over I'll continue, but been binging it for a couple weeks and the epic episodes like ~105 and 135 are just gone. I almost wonder with the writers influence if he himself had a change of heart in parts of the story / characters and wanted the donghua studio to change it to what it now is. Or something like a government oversite committee wanting some changes to a larger viewing audience so there won't be any "societal disturbances;" "promote soldier honor" in their eyes (I don't know if something like this exists irl, but can imagine it does just to make some officials feel relevant; they're given a position as an authority in something).

Regardless, my first thought was, "Yeah the flower finally wilted!"

Sadly a lot of non novel readers are not as objective or savvy as you 😊 But I am glad there are some that can see that the series is going downhill with the amount of changes being made. Personally I feel the studio has given up and decided to focus on Soul Land 2 - The Unrivalled Tang Sect not to mention that the final arc of the novel was pretty messed up to begin with, incoherent, convoluted and somewhat ended on a "to be continued" feeling
